So this is a really simple recipe. I scraped all the veggies I’ve neglected off the bottom drawer and concocted this super easy healthy soup.

On monday I baked this kabocha pumpkin. All you do is put the entire thing in the oven and after 30 mins, slice it open and serve.

1. Sautee garlic and red onion in coconut oil with salt, little bit of cilantro, thyme and ginger

2. Chop mushrooms + green pepper to throw into the sautee

3. Chop up the already cooked Kabocha pumpkin into the blender

4. Add water+EVOO and puree

5. Take the garlic+red onion+cilantro+thyme+ginger+mushroom+green pepper sautee into blender w little water and puree

6. Mix it all together and heat for about 10 mins to cook.

This is another one of my fancy pants- patterned leggings. I can’t really wear these as leggings… Worn with a cashmere geometric patterned mini dress (salvation army score) and Dolce Vita  boots (they look like the sought after Acne boots! except 1/3 of the price).

I am obsessed with printed leggings. I have a drawer full of them. This one I like particularly because I can wear them as pants or tights. 

Worn with an oversized cardigan (from salvation army), army pea jacket by H&M.

When I cook, instead of using a cookbook, I try to mimic some of the foods that I enjoy eating at restaurants, in this case the salad bar at Wholefoods.

This dish is a healthy version of a typical fried rice.

1. I cook the quinoa in the rice cooker.

2. Sautee onions and scallions

3. chop extra onions, scallions, yellow pepper

4. Bake salmon on parchment paper in the oven at 350 degrees with some Dijon mustard, gluten free soy sauce and rice vinegar for 8 mins

5. Open a can of organic Garbanzo beans and wash under cold water

6. Put it all together!

I had a rough day today starting off at 7:30am surf accident in Long beach. Everyone came out alive + in one piece but an unfortunate traumatic dinged board.

I needed something yummy and comforting for the end of my day, so I made myself  whipped shea butter (this is to WEAR not to EAT!). 

First I melted the shea butter + coconut oil into liquid form. Then I left it to congeal in the fridge for about an hour. Then I whipped it for about 2 mins with a mixer in high speed. Then added some orange essential oil to make it extra yummy and girly. 

I think it’s just what a girl needed after a long day. Hot shower and home made fluffy butter to get ready for bed.

There was a new shipment of belts at the salvation army today. I totally scored~ I spent a total of $15 for all these!

A funky belt is just what you need to spice up any old outfit. I’m ready get dressed in fall fashion.
